Who Am I?

Me and the Husband 2010

Our Family, Spring 2010

Our Three Awesome Kids!

I live a fast paced life working full-time, managing (and taxi-ing) three kids, a husband, my father, two dogs and a cat.
I would love to spend more time in the kitchen trying some of the wonderful recipes that exist on the world-wide web of food blogs… there are some amazing ones out there! But I humble myself to bake and post when I can.
My aspirations would be to one day own a cafe’ ~ bakery, but I won’t get my hopes up…
My blog was inspired and assembled to represent my true life. I take no shame in using a cake mix here and there… or finding shortcuts to meals and sweets.
Please visit my favorites, they have been a great inspiration to my blogging adventure!

    Laurel,
I love your blog! You always have great recipes and great pics posted. Never knew you were so talented! I do have one question/ recipe I need help with. I am looking for a good recipe for apple chips. Have you ever had the ones in the produce depertment that are bagged up? I am not looking for the chewy kind like you would get with a dehydrator, but the crunchy ones. I haven’t found too many recipes online, but I might not be typing in the right thing. Let me know if you have any good ideas. I am looking for a good healthy snack, and we love those apple chips, but they are so expensive for one bag that is gone in 1 minute! Thanks in advance!

  4. Hey! Thank you. I havent made any personally or even searched for recipes, but I just shot over to a food blog search engine, typed in apple chips and got many returns. The first result is from a blog that I often refer to, so try that. It’s at [ http://foodblogsearch.com/ ]

  5. Let’s swap links, Laurel — check us out at http://www.dixiedining.wordpress.com. I think you will find it a good fit for what you’re doing at bakememore.com.

  18. Hi My name is Theresa I love your blog. I have a question though, how do you get “new posts” to show up on every or a specific pages, instead of just the home page? All my New Post go only to the Home page. Can you please let me know as I’ve been searching for this for weeks now. Thank you in advance.
    Theresa

  19. You want to make it “sticky”. I’m pretty sure that wordpress currently gives you the choice to click “This post is super-awesome”, under publish… to make it sticky – or of top priority.

  20. Me again…do you have a recipe for a tastey orange smoothie?

  21. Are you on twitter or facebook?

  22. Hello Laurelg1. I did a Google search for a Hawaiian pork tenderloin recipe to do for sunday dinner, which brought me to your great blog. I’ve been poking around while the tenderloin brines, and I have to say that all of the dishes I have looked at look fabulous? However, I did notice a few minor bugs/incorrect links while looking around your blog. Do you have a more direct method of contact? Email/Twitter/Facebook? Thanks for the great site and keep on cooking and showing us what you’ve found.

  23. Wow, I didn’t realize how many links were “unlinked”. I had switched some things a while back and that must have erased the links. Thanks for letting me know! BTW, I can be reached at laurelg1@yahoo.com

    Thanks for stopping by!

  24. Hi Laurel,

Could I use the picture you posted of snicker-doodles? I m creating a cook book for a friend of mine as a shower gift. I have the recipe, but not a picture.

    Thanks in advance,
    Meg
